Camp Dogwood

Camp DogwoodCamp Dogwood is a beautiful campground consisting of more than 200 acres of land in Ashland City (Cheatham County). The camp is currently undergoing renovation and will focus on growing healthy fruits and vegetables that can be purchased at neighborhood farmers' markets located in underserved communities.

The camp is owned by the Women's Division of the United Methodist Church and is leased to Bethlehem Centers of Nashville to conduct mission work. It has a rich heritage of serving youth in low-income Nashville communities, but has not been in active use for the past twenty years.

Our vision for Camp Dogwood is that it will serve as a great educator of how we can live in a more sustaining and practical way. The vision involves three primary focus areas: Work, Worship and Play. Camp Dogwood serves as an entrepreneurial training ground surrounding the growing of fresh and delicious organic fruits and vegetables where youth and adults of all colors and backgrounds will work together to grow food for underserved communities that do not have easy access to fresh and nutritious foods.

Camp Dogwood will serve as a place for worship and spiritual reflection surrounded by the beauty of God's creation. It will also serve as a place of recreation with swimming, camping, and hiking opportunities. A picnic shelter and game area will serve as the perfect place for organizations to host a church picnic or company retreat For more information or to get involved, please call (615) 329-3386.
